| Hire Well helps small companies hire key personnel – getting it right the first time. |
| |
| Why Hire Well? |
| |
Hire Well specifically serves small and start-up companies and not-for-profit organizations. Most clients have 1 to 40 employees and no Human Resource Manager. These owners, managers and boards do not have the time, expertise, or resources to accurately define the position and engage the best candidates available. Typically, these organizations hire too quickly and keep the wrong person far too long. |
Any one position that is critical to the organization can be considered Key Personnel. In some organizations a receptionist or executive assistant is key. Other organizations want help finding the best bookkeeper, controller, account executive, sales manager, executive director, marketing specialist, or their first human resources manager. |
Hiring well takes time and Hire Well will take the time necessary to get it right the first time. We will never “talk you into” a candidate. If it doesn’t feel like a fit, it isn’t. We follow up over the first 90 days and offer an unconditional 90-day guarantee - if the new hire leaves for any reason, we will undertake the entire process again at no charge. |
| |
| Hire Well achieves results by filling the Jar of Information. |
| |
| Imagine a large glass jar and imagine that in order to find the best candidate you need to fill the jar with all the information about the position and the person you seek. Most clients are ready to fill that jar with a bunch of good sized rocks labeled with skills and attributes such as Education, Excel Proficiency, Management Ability, or Proven Sales Acumen. They fill this jar with rocks put the lid on it and start looking for that person |
| |
| Why is that a problem? That jar isn’t full yet. Hire Well will ask you a series of questions that can be considered small pebbles. These pebbles may not be as big or as important as the rocks but they serve to refine the characteristics of the best candidate. We keep the lid of that jar open and pour in as many small pebbles that will fit – you’d be surprised how much more you can get in your jar! |
| |
| We shake gently to let things settle and find that there is still room in the jar. So, we ask a few more questions and encourage you to imagine the best and brightest candidate. What attributes would be ideal? What small grains of sand would really fill your jar? We pour the sand in the jar, shake it to let things settle and only then do we begin to seek the best candidates. |
